Harold Crouch Micronesian Scholarship

Honors the memory of Harold Crouch, longtime international student adviser. Recipients must be of Micronesian descent. Award will vary depending on available funds.

GOALS: The goal of the Harold Crouch Micronesian Scholarship fund is to encourage and support Micronesian Islanders to pursue a college education at Navarro College. The scholarship seeks to encourage and support students pursuing certifications or degrees at Navarro College.


  • Must be a Micronesian descendant from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands or the Republic of Palau.
  • Enroll in Navarro College as a full-time, degree-seeking.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR).
  • Submit (1) letter of recommendation.
  • Complete an essay.

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 17 years or older and be a descendent of the Micronesian Islands.
  • Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree, certificate and/or other certification in Navarro College.
  • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance.


  • Members of the Scholarship Committee and their immediate family (spouse, siblings, parents, and children) are not eligible for scholarship consideration.


  • Must continuously enroll and maintain 12 or more academic hours (full-time) each Fall and Spring semester.
  • Must meet every two weeks with the Micronesian Education Committee representatives.
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Must submit a mid-semester progress report.
  • Must adhere to all institution rules and regulations.

AWARD AMOUNTS: The Harold Crouch Micronesian Scholarship applies only to tuition and fees.
